I got my start in advertising at WORK Inc, a small creative boutique known as an ad agency for ad agencies. I had no idea what I was doing. But I wrote a radio campaign for their Washington Wizards client and the agency’s owner, Cabell Harris, liked it enough to give me a job. So I gave two weeks’ notice to my boss at the botanical garden and started a career in advertising.
Since stumbling into this field, I’ve divided my time between working for agencies as a Senior Writer and Creative Director, and working for myself as a freelancer, helping out agencies large and small. I’ve worked for clients with big budgets, small budgets and sometimes practically no budget at all. I especially enjoy creative problem solving and working on challenging projects.
I’ve been lucky enough to work on a little bit of everything over the years: branding, TV and radio campaigns, print and outdoor, naming projects, B2B work, direct response, social media posts, SEO, SEM and I’m sure a few things I’ve forgotten. I’ve also been fortunate to win a few advertising awards working alongside some very talented people.
This site features a small sampling of the work I’ve done as a Creative Director and Copywriter. If you have any questions, or want to see other work examples, please let me know. I’m always happy to answer questions, meet new people and share stories. Thanks for visiting my site and I hope we get a chance to work together.
